Funeral for Eli Horowitz

The levaya for Eli Horowitz will take place tomorrow at 1:30pm at Bais Yaakov Elementary School at 15 Saranac Blvd (Click on link for directions).

Missing Body Recovered

Vos Iz Neias is reporting that Eli's body has been recently recovered and positively identified.

Earlier today, Canadian fisherman pulled a body out of the water, in the same area where two men had gone missing on a fishing excursion at the end of last year. The dramatic tragedy sparked a tremendous outpouring of help and sympathy from Jews worldwide and we have received word that the recovered body has now been positively identified as R'Eli Horowitz A'H.


Soonews.ca reported the following:

North Bay OPP has recovered a body believed to be that of a missing Toronto man from last summer.

On the 03July2007 two fishermen located the body in the center channel to Callander Bay near an island.

Under the direction of Coroner, Dr Clarke the body will be transported to Toronto for an autopsy and positive identification.

The OPP would like to extend a thank you to the public and Hatzoloh Toronto for all their help over the past 10 months.

North Bay OPP has recovered a body from Lake Nipissing believed to be that of a Toronto man missing since last August.

Two fishermen located the body Tuesday, in the centre channel to Callander Bay near an island.

Under the direction of coroner Dr.Clarke, the body will be transported to Toronto for an autopsy and positive identification.



Callander Bay is East of the Waltonian Inn. The area had been searched repeatedly in the past.
